Green Change Call for Submissions
Green Change invites writers, musicians, videographers, photographers, poets, and other artists to submit their work for the launch of Greenchange.com.

Greenchange.com is a new network for people with Green values to share, organize, and change the world.

We seek original work to help build a vibrant Green counterculture.  In particular, we want outstanding essays, articles, music, video, photos, short stories, poetry, and art from people with Green values.  We’re open to nearly any topic, but we especially want to feature work that is thoughtful or inspiring. Artists Goodies!
Aloha....as I get ready to move to Hawaii for the winter in order to heal from debilitating illness, I'm finally off-loading lots of the stuff I've accumulated over the years and would like to offer some of this to you all. At this time, I've got a collection of wooden frames (that I'd planned to paint), a slab of clay, feathers and shells, and some miscellaneous stuff y'all might be interested in... I need these things to go away ASAP, so please email me and we can set up a time for you to stop in during the next few days. As I continue to purge, I'll have some collage materials, and eventually I hope to have enough time to sort and offer up most of my bead collection for sale. I'm grateful to have this stuff taken away, but if you're able to make a donation to my Hawaii fund, know that you'll be supporting the healing of a mom who needs to get back in the saddle in order to create my share of magic in the world!! peace, Tina Floyd
Cooperative Public Art Garden

The Port of Olympia is offering plots of 1000 – 2500 square foot land for community sponsored gardens.  Currently they are offering sixteen spots and will probably be offering about ten more, total.  The Port will cover initial soil requirements and all irrigation needs, although a lesser water requirement is better.  Sponsors agree to design, implement and maintain the agreed to plot for a minimum of three years.  The application deadline for this initial round of 16 plots is October 30.  Some of the initial sixteen plots do not become available until 2007, while some are available now.

I think this is an excellent opportunity for Olympia artists of all stripes and creeds to cooperatively create a public Art space.  The Port’s restrictions are liberal and sensible (no invasive species, existent fauna remains and final designs must be Port approved) and this would provide local artists with greater public exposure and interactivity.  I attended the Port’s first public meeting last night and tentatively signed up an as yet to exist group “Olyart Project” as having interest in a particular plot.  If you too are interested, please contact me as soon as possible so as we may begin conversing and planning some more OlyArt space.
