With so many products on the market, finding the best yoga DVD can be a bit challenging. While this resource is not a scientific review of the best yoga DVDs available, it is fairly thorough, so should save you some time finding what you need. A little caveat: even good yoga videos have one essential flaw — no interactivity. We’ll address that later on, but for now, check out our list of recommended yoga DVDs…

and everything else in between, but you’re welcome to explore those on your own. What’s really left to address is something mentioned at the outset:
Why Even Good Yoga Videos Are Inherently Flawed
There are a couple of reasons that even really good yoga videos are flawed. For one, it’s the same routine over and over. Secondly, there’s no interactivity. If you’re holding a posture incorrectly and don’t know it, there’s no way for the teacher to correct you.
Don’t get me wrong… having a DVD around to practice with when you’re too busy to get to a studio or you’re traveling is really handy. But what if there was an alternative?
The Advent of Online Yoga Classes
Taking yoga classes online is very close to becoming a reality, where you’ll have direct, one-to-one contact with the teacher through live streaming video. Wherever there’s an internet connection, you’ll have access to teachers.
Yoga DVDs are great when you don’t have internet access or you just want to coast through a familiar session. But if you’re looking for real interactivity with a teacher, from either your own home or a hotel on the road, check out Muuyu for an online service which is about to launch soon.
